2021 was a particularly exciting year for Caitlin, Sheila and myself. We have such deep gratitude for all of you - our community of adventurers and ambassadors, our brand partners, and our family and friends. 2021 was, in so many ways, a year of firsts.
In 2021, the intrigue about what we are all about started to grow…writers from magazines including Men’s Journal, Expedition Portal, Blue Ridge Outdoors, Outdoor Retailer Magazine and others tested out our towels, loved them and featured us in their ‘best of’ gear guides.

This was the first tradeshow we had ever attended as a company. Which is why being named one of the “9 Cool Products” by Backpacker Magazine was especially meaningful.
Caitlin designed our display, we built it, we drove it through three states, we set it up, we worked at the tradeshow, we disassembled it and we drove it back home. While there, we met some wonderful people, and we look forward to attending again in 2022!
In the second half of 2021, we launched several partnerships that we’re excited to carry through to the next year!
Each partner plays a pivotal role in the outdoors from Hikers Brew who offers coffee in compostable pouches, to the Outdoor Minimalist podcast to Pitch Camp, A-Lodge and Dave and Matt Vans who all uniquely make adventuring in new places fun and possible!

Wow, did we meet some incredible people in 2021. The world has felt particularly grim over the past couple of years. Which is why we love reflecting on all of our amazing ambassadors.

This one is for the ultralight community! We worked with a wonderful mill in Northern Ireland to create just the right weight and hand feel for you to carry along on your every adventure! A blend of linen (flax) and hemp with a fun woven desertscape pattern, our Woven Wonders collection is one of our most exciting creations so far.

It’s January. We’re ready. We’re ready to do more to engage with you, to create new gear with you and to adventure better with you!
Our mission and drive are as strong as ever. We closed out the year on Dec 31 with our community on fire. In Boulder County and the surrounding area, a very fast-moving grass fire destroyed over 1,000 homes. It was the single most destructive fire in the state’s history. The fire was a culmination of a very dry fall and winter and an entire day of 100+ mph wind gusts.
For those of use so passionate about our planet, our livelihoods and the livelihoods of all living things, we have a lot of work to do, and the time is now. Here's to a new year, new actions and expanding the depth and breadth of the sustainability movement.
