Both are bast fibers harvested from within the woody stalks of their respective plants. With superb properties including their unmatched durability, high-absorbency, quick drying, thermoregulating, and stain and debris resistance they are ideal textiles for travel towels.
While both hemp and flax linen textiles have been woven and worn since at least 8000 BC, both are making a well-deserved comeback. This is due to the highly desirable qualities the finished textiles have to offer as well as the positive environmental aspects of the plants. When grown responsibly, neither requires pesticides nor artificial irrigation, they grow very quickly, and they rehabilitate the soil.

How do I care for my Woven Wonders Duo?
It’s simple! Machine or hand wash in water up to 60 degrees with a gentle spin. Hang to dry or tumble dry on low heat. Remove promptly.
One of the greatest things about hemp and linen textiles is the more you use them the softer and more supple they will become!
Is the Woven Wonders bath sheet and hand towel quick to dry?
Yes, the woven wonders dries significantly faster than your average bath towel! It also dries twice as fast as microfiber per ounce of water absorbed.
Is the Woven Wonders bath sheet and hand towel packable?
Absolutely! The bath sheet weighs only 9oz and folds down to a 5.5" x 5.5 x 2.5" cube and the hand towel weighs just 2.5oz and folds down to a 1.5" x 3" x 4.5" rectangle.
How absorbent are the Woven Wonders?
Very! It absorbs up to 50% more water than microfiber towels of the same size!
Should I expect my Woven Wonders bath sheet and hand towel to shrink when washed?
All products in the Woven Wonders line are pre-washed and preshrunk. Therefore, if you continue to care for it by washing it in cold water and drying on low heat, it will not shrink.
Do I need to wash my Woven Wonders bath sheet and hand towel before I use it?
Nope! All products in the Woven Wonders line are pre-washed and ready to be used right out of the package!
What are these fuzzy spots and variations in the weave of my towel?
One of the most prized qualities of linen and hemp is the way it reflects nature – perfectly imperfect. Unlike manmade fibers and plant fibers like cotton, linen and hemp fibers meander from thick to thin with nubs and slubs throughout the textile. The variation enhances the texture and does not affect the integrity of the material.
We look over our linen and hemp prior to crafting our towels and after every towel is created to assure there are no variations beyond what is considered natural for bast fiber textiles.
